After having nothing but cloudy skies for about four days straight, it pretty much goes without saying that the day I was in need of clouds, most of the day was a perfect blue.  I had already started trying to decide how I wanted to shoot a cloudless sky, but by late-afternoon I didn’t have to think about that any longer.

While it wasn’t much to work with, a few clouds finally drifted through the neighborhood, and I managed to snap off this shot.  As tends to be the case when I’m out shooting, this was one of the first photos that I took, and it ended up being my favorite of the bunch.  Most of the photos I took included some additional scenery: birds, trees, etc., but I really liked the simplicity of this one and that’s the main reason I’ve used it here.
