30 Days: Day 16 – Fruit
I love bananas. What I really mean is I LOVE bananas. So naturally, on the day dedicated to shooting fruit, there wasn’t much question about what fruit I was going to pick. Over the years, I have tried photographing them on a number of different occasions, but each time I’ve been pretty disappointed in the resulting photos. This time was no different.
Other than bananas, the only other fruit that I’ve ever attempted to photograph was an apple, and that was on a family apple-picking adventure in the north Georgia mountains last fall. With fall officially just a couple of days away, we’re planning on returning to the orchard in the next few weeks, and after a disappointing evening of photographing bananas, I decided to get some extra practice with the apples that we had. Macro day was still a few days off, but I really wanted to show the detail and colors of the apples that we’ve got, plus the moisture that it’s picked up after sitting in our fridge all week.
