30 Days: Day 25 – Low angle shot

On day 25, I took the family on a short road trip up to the north Georgia mountains to do some apple-picking and watch some pig racing.  This is the second year that we’ve gone, but this time we went much earlier in the season.  I was hoping to catch some of the beautiful fall colors that we’re already seeing around our home, but to my surprise, things were pretty much still a solid green.

Nonetheless, we still had a great time.  The trip would have been a great opportunity to do day 26′s high angle shot, since we were up in the mountains, but that photo was to be botched the following day.  The apple orchard that we went to is said to be Georgia’s largest and most popular.  The location features a number of different attractions, in addition to the apple orchard itself.  After the pig racing, my favorites are the moonshine museum and the nature trail.  Both of those exhibits feature some pretty disturbing  (to small children, yet hilarious to me) mannequins.  Had it been a different day in the challenge, I would have certainly used one of the photos from those exhibits, but for day 25′s low angle shot, I decided on this sign for pony rides attached to the end of a children only zip line.  The foliage behind the sign is a dwarf apple tree, Rome apples to be exact.  Cross processing was added in Photoshop.
